Short but sweet

I saw this at my bellydance class and had to share it! My class is held in a community hall and some of my friends from the class drew my attention to this picture on the wall.

We weren't sure whether the 'bad person' in this lovely drawing was intended to be quite so, well, Gothlike, but it was amusing (and a wee bit alarming) all the same!

Seems like the poor kid who drew that was taught to be everyone else and not be open minded of others. Oh well, they will grow up and be more tolerant of alternative cultures. I don't know in that picture if it was aimed at us or anyone who is alternative. Anyway it was somewhat amusing though.

It must be one of those days. This morning I went to the local super market and really scared a couple of small children. All I was doing was talking to someone when they saw me and started backing away, retreating to and seeking the support of their father.

Usually, kids pick up on my harmlessness, but not today I guess.

I'm no psychologist by any means (although I've been to a few. LOL), but I'm noticing that the "gothy" character is directly in the middle, larger than the rest, and is smiling. Also, it seems to me that the one in pink is actually reaching out to her, and smiling as well, and that it is the gothy one that is saying "bad person"...

Reaching out maybe SLAPPING and smiling may just mean EVIL GRIN MUHAHAHAA!

This picture is definitely... different. Hehe, oh children.. so cruel.

I dunno. Kids are taught blacks mean evil and witch etc.(Witch's aren't evil!) and so the child drew it all in black, to show evil. And it just happens to look like a goth. But then again...The pink hair looks a bit toooo gothy. Maybe it's Draculaura?

Or maybe the pink is her becoming good? :O I dunno, I'm trying to think like a child :P

And what is that in the corner? It looks like 'fags' but I think it says Fay's.

Going from the point of view of a child... maybe they drew a person all in black to show that they're a witch (and therefore bad)? Or maybe they were just getting bored with the drawing and couldn't be bothered to go and choose new pens, so they kept colouring with the one they had in their hand. Or it's supposed to be one of their classmates, or their sister or something. Or they did it because... child logic, which doesn't have to make sense to anyone but the child in question. :3

Personally, I'm more interested as to why she's biting the skipping rope/thought bubble. XD And why there are three people, one of whom seems to have four or five eyes, flying into hysterics in the background. XD

Good question Louise. I noticed about that why is there a speech bubble inbetween the two people and the person in dark clothing is biting it as like a way to detach the bad person label aimed at that person and the person with few eyes is screaming in hysterics, haha. I see it like a piece of expressive art.

May I add...I don't feel it is a direct insult to goth it is just black represents evil. It is like the modern version of Romeo and Juliet; The Montague boys wear bright colours for good and the Capulet boys wear black to symbolise evil.

I still think it is the black clad person that is saying "bad person", and the one in black is reaching out. I don't see a jumprope.

* There is an obvious break in between the to sets of lines. It looks to me the set on the right is where the speech bubble is coming from.
