30 Day Clothing Challenge: Day 28

28. An outfit you are ashamed to say you wore.
Oh, where to even start?

I decided to exonerate my childhood fashion sins (age 12; leather skirt with white trainers, age 13; white tracksuit bottoms with 'angel' on the bottom and gold hoop earrings) and skip directly to my disastrous forays into the world of Goth style.

Here I am in 2007.

Now, let us never speak of this again. >.<

In the hope of making up a little for the above photo (which I am staring at with a kind of horrified fascination), an outfit post from - I believe - the week before last. See how I have grown (thank gawd).

Yes, I am still living in the fluffy cardigan.

Awwww, I think you looked adorable in 2007. All except for maybe the green socks, but only because green is not my favourite colour ... :D

The 2007 outfit was not taht bad: very fairy like. Of course I prefer nowaday's outfits.

You are so pretty! no matter what you wear!

I was curious to see if you could help me with a problem I'm having.

I'm going to be meeting my boyfriends very traditional grandparents. ( so traditional they hate his tattoo even though it is a bible verse just because it is a tattoo)I could really use some advice on how to tone it down enough but still sort of be myself.

I usually have no problem with it but I have never met people so traditional before...I want them to like me but I also don't want to hide myself completely.

please and thank you for any advice you can give.

You look lovely no matter what you wear. your so pretty and tall, I wish I could have your height. (I'm 5'1)

Also I was wondering if you had any advice for me.

I am going to meet my Boyfriend's very traditional grandparents soon. (when I say very I mean hate tattoo's just because they believe only delinquents have them.) I am worried they won't look past my darker tendencies. how do I tone down enough to make a good impression but still stay true to me...

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks

It's funny, that first outfit is...questionable, but you still look pretty! x) Where did you get that fluffy cardigan from? I could use one myself; I don't think the British weather will be improving any time soon.

So... you loved My Little Pony before it was cool?

Loving the lime green socks in the first pic :P

I'm pretty sure I used to dress in a similar manner luckily not too many pictures were taken.

Lol, I have a fluffy sweater almost EXACTLY like yours; I wear it around the house constantly, too! I wish I could wear it out, but it looks terrible on me... leaving me unsure as to why I actually bought it in the first place. :) At least it's comfy.

Also, this is completely unrelated to the post, but I was wondering if I could have a bit of Q&A on going to a wedding as a goth. I'm thirteen years old, and my 22-year-old cousin is getting married this December. I've only been involved with the whole Goth 'thing' for about four months now, but I don't feel right at all about suddenly abandoning my lovely ripped/striped tights and black just for a wedding. Is that what would be required, or is there a way to be (preferably very, lol) Gothy and still acceptable? My family is pretty lenient, but I still need help! Thanks so much, Amy. :)

That 2007 outfit is adorable :P
I love your other outfit! Very nice. That skeleton cameo top is wonderful.

I've been to 3 weddings now, and have been Gothy at all. At one, I wore a simple black dress with silver jewellery, one I wore a black and purple dress, and the latest one, I wore a red and black 60's style dress with red shoes. They all looked goth, but not too in-your-face skulls and spikes. If you're still not sure, wear jewel colours. And of course, don't forget a facsinator/mini top hat!

I hope this helps!

Haha, oh god. This reminds me of when I was 12 and I bought this 2 piece yellow and pink outfit with cartoon monkeys all over it >_>
